is shown in the present Estimates, and in any case the
outlook is better than that for the previous year,
in that the surplus of assets which is estimated at the
end of the financial year is approximately $1,000,000
for the convespording year greater than it was when the 1937 Estimates were
prepared. The actual effect of the conflict beyond
the immediate future can hardly be calculated.
